Atlantic city!

Last weekend Tony and I decided to up and just go to Atlantic City on the whim.....we just needed to get away.

The weather was so darn hot it felt like summer. Now you know this is not normal weather for the beginning of October, come on it was 90 degrees and on the beach I swear it felt like 100!

We spent a lot of time in the Tropicana, that was where we stayed at. A very nice hotel I must say and you really don't have to leave the hotel, everything is right here: Casinos, shopping and of course nice eatery places. I think next time we are going to check out PFChangs.

The trip was really chill, it only took us about 2 hours to drive up there and the drive home was very smooth and relaxing. While every one else was speeding, we were just coasting home, laid back style. Hell I rush to work every day sometimes it's good to just relax.

Too Fast Too Furious

Well the accord died. I had her since Oct 2002 and she was my first car. I got into a really bad car accident last year with her but decided to keep her after she was fixed. The damages were not enough to get ther totalled. Here are pics from the accident last year this time:

I was rear ended by a speeding truck who was clearly not paying attention to where he was going. He was on the cell phone and going over 60 in a residental area....can you believe that? I wasn't injured and I thank god for that!!

A few months ago the transmission died on my honda and I decided to just get another car all together because the warranty for the faulty transmissions ended 1 month before mine died....so Tony and I just said FORGET IT!! This car was my baby, but she had so many defects. I guess the 2000 Accord v6 models had issues from the door. I've been reading on line and there are many many complaints about faulty alternators and transmissions before 50K miles....and that's not acceptable.

Soooo as a b day gift Tony got the G35 coupe for me....the car I've been eyeing for a while now. Here is a photo of her:

I am totally in love with her! She's fast so I try not to speed or go crazy on the road.

Oh I had soo much fun!!!!

Well I went to the Fashion Royalty Convention and let me tell you......I had so much fun I didn't want to come home. And when I did come home, I had to take that Monday off I was so beat from the fun I had. The convention was in October from the 19th - 21st and it was at the BWI Marriott in Baltimore. Even though it was so close to home, I decided to stay in the hotel since I had two wonderful roomates. My roomates were Peg from San Antonio, Texas and Melodie from Chicago. We laughed, we partied, we shared our love for dolls and on this journey I met more folks who are now a part of my extended doll family. Here are some pics from the Fashion Royalty convention:

I had SO MUCH FUN. I still keep in contact with the folks I've met at the convention and I plan to have a get together some time soon after the holidays.

Living Healthy

On my quest to live a healthier and more productive life, I am continuing my journey of weight loss and spiritual cleansing. It's going to be a long road ahead, but I know I can do it.

Nothing new going on, oh well yeah.....I have a birthday coming up on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 and I am really excited. I'll be 32 years young and I plan on just chilling and relaxing. The next day, August 23, is my 4 year wedding Anniversary. I feel really blessed to of seen 4 years with Tony. I am greatful for my health and the blessings that surround us.

I still haven't pulled out that darn sewing machine, (my girl Jeri is my inspiration) but I will soon. I am so intimidated by that machine. I don't know why, I've used it several times, but I just feel like I could break it. Maybe I'll pull it out next weekend. Not sure yet.

Introducing Nadja and Nakia

Nothing new with me, just working and chilling.

I am back to sewing and being a makeshift seamstress, and that is coming along really well. I have put together a few shirts and now I am working on pants. I think in my next lifetime I am going to be a clothing designer lol.

I want to give a shout out to everyone who gave me props on the last entry, I haven't been much of a blogger lately, but it's comforting to know folks are still visiting my page here at xanga.
